Cabin Life

Students at High Trails live in cabins with members of the same gender, along with High School leaders and Teachers.  Each boys' or girls' cabin consists of two cabin-sides, with up to 10 students and two counselors living on each side.  One or two teachers from the attending school reside in a central teachers' room, with a fireplace and space for nightly meetings.

Each day, students spend time with their cabin group relaxing and playing before and after meals, going on cabin hikes, and talking over the day's events before sleep.  A High Trails Staff member works with each cabin to establish and uphold expectations, lead games and activities, and keep students, counselors, and teachers happy and comfortable.
