 Leadership Circle

Leadership Development program designed for High School groups

High Trails and The Nature Place are offering 2 to 5-day programs for high school and 8th-grade groups interested in a hands-on leadership experience. Students will stay at The Nature Place, and work with professional leadership facilitators to build group dynamics and communcation skills. These workshops will help build any student council group, sports team or peer mentor group into an efficient working team. With 6000 acres of private land, premium accomodations and great food, the leadership programs at The Nature Place are a perfect place to get students away from the pressures of school and community.  Coordinators work with you to build a program which will accomplish the group's goals, as well as our aim to build individual and group confidence, communication, coordination, and ambition.

Are you a high school student in Academy School District 20 planning on coming up to High Trails this fall with one of the middle schools?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.  Join us for the high school leadership day, Friday September 9, 2011.  This is a one-day leadership seminar where you will be put into teams of 12-13 students from around the district.  During the day, you'll learn numerous techniques for working with 6th graders, experience the High Trails environment, practice communication skills, and much more.  All components of the program are hands-on, including teambuilding challenges and a visit to the high ropes course.  There is no cost to students for the program and college credit is available through UCCS for the experience.  Talk to your school High Trails coordinator to register for this experience.
