Three days at High Trails is a short amount of time. However, we strive to create an experience for each student, counselor, and teacher that will last. As participants explore the diversity and beauty of the natural surroundings at High Trails, the web of interrelationships between all things becomes apparent.
The knowledge that humans are a part of this system, and that each of our actions has some effect on the world around us, is a powerful and often new concept for those who learn here. As students build confidence in the outdoor classroom, they gain important new perspectives - on nature, among their community of friends and teachers, and on their lives.
The memories created at High Trails will last a lifetime. Awakening a conception of the value of nature and the importance of the actions we make in every person who visits High Trails is our goal.
